My Art Journey
started when I was a young girl. I would often sit and watch my mom draw and paint whenever she had time to spare. She was so talented and creative with her drawings, paintings, sculptures, and jewelry making. What a tremendous inspiration she was/is for me. I started learning the basics about composition and design in middle school and was introduced to various art materials and techniques. By the time I was in my mid 20s I decided to work with acrylic paint as my main medium.

As far as my personal "art heroes" go, I admire the works of Georgia O'Keeffe, Salvador Dali, Phil Epp, Jennifer Cavan, Vladimir Kush, Howard Post, Josh Gibson, Yayoi Kusama, Debbie Carroll, Barb Clark, Dee Sanchez, and Greg Newbold just to name a few.

My first website initially started as a blog.
(I still update the blog)

If you're interested in getting prints, I have started an online store with PIXELS

My faith journey started around 7 years old when I attended church with my grandmother. I would spend the weekend at her house about once every month. She would take me to church and talk to me about God. Those seeds that were planted eventually started to grow and I was baptized at the age of 24 in 1997 and my life changed forever in the most wonderful way. I have been so blessed to participate in many ministries and church groups since then that have helped me to learn and continue growing in my relationship with Christ Jesus.

Resources

The following ministries have had an enormous impact on my faith journey over the years:

The Bible Project has short video commentaries on old & new testament books, podcasts, in depth bible studies and more for free.

Chase Oaks Church has been my church home since 2018. I have been so blessed and enriched by the sermons, our small groups, and various ministry outreaches to the community.

Dr. Michael Heiser has done an incredible amount of research on the ancient Hebrew culture, language, and how the Israelites and early Christian believers viewed and understood the Old Testament. So amazing. He even has a FREE book online: What Does God Want?
